KALAMKARI

Kalamkari is a type of hand-painted or block-printed cotton sarees, produced in Andhra Pradesh. This art evolved with patronage of the Mughals and the Golconda dynasty. Artisans use kalam or pen to draw the outline and then fill the colours in it.
